Only God knows what is really in store for our children, but we must have them prepared for any circumstance.
We must teach them to be submitted to authority and obedient from their youth up so when Jesus speaks to their heart they will Obey. We must teach our children to pray and seek God, for this is our command from the Word.
We must teach our chilren to be faithful and diligent in all that they do.We must teach our children to be kind, loving, and sincere in every matter.
As our children grow you will notice how much they want to please us. You will notice how they look up to their parents and imitate most everything we do. I notice how my son will always delight in handing daddy his hammer or how our daughter loves to dry the dishes for mommy. We can mold our children into whatever we want. We are our children's role models and heroes and what they see us do, so will they do. The most practical and effective way of teaching is by example. We must understand that education is so much more than the three R's. We must understand that education is the nurturing of a vessel that has been placed in our care by the Creator of the universe. Above all, I want my children to love Jesus with all of their hearts and minds, but how do we get them to do this? The answer is clear. You yourself must possess this desire to know and love Jesus with all of your substance.
